Samsung Electronics to Apologize over Galaxy Note 7 Recall in Media Ad

Samsung Electronics says it will apologize for the global recall of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphones through media advertisements.

Samsung said on Tuesday that it plans to roll out the apology ads for causing concern to its customers and pledge best efforts by all its employees to resolve the problem.

Samsung has also decided to forcibly limit the Galaxy Note 7 battery to be charged to only 60 percent of its capacity by using its over-the-air(OTA) update technology.

With the OTA update, users of the Galaxy Note 7 will be prevented from fully charging their devices. The measure is aimed at preventing battery overheating that could lead to an explosion.
