KOSPI Drops 2.28%, Samsung Nosedives 6.98%

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) plummeted on Monday due to renewed fears that the U.S. may raise interest rates.

On the foreign exchange market, the local currency depreciated 15-point-one won against the U.S. dollar to one-thousand-113-point-five won.
