After closing at a yearly high a day earlier, the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Wednesday inched down four-point-65 points, or zero-point-23 percent, to close at two-thousand-61-point-88.
 
The tech-laden KOSDAQ slumped six-point-77 points, or one percent, to 672-point-49.
 
On the foreign exchange market, the local currency appreciated 15-point-two won against the U.S. dollar to one-thousand-90 won, the highest level so far this year.
