The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rebounded on Tuesday as chances were reported to be low that the U.S. would hike interest rates in September.

The main index shot up seven-point-39 points, or zero-point-36 percent, to close at two-thousand-39-point-74.
 
The secondary KOSDAQ gained four-point-03 points, or zero-point-61 percent, to 667-point-61.
 
On the foreign exchange market, the local currency appreciated five-point-one won against the U.S. dollar to one-thousand-119-point-nine won.
