Busan Terminal Makes Deal to Accommodate More Cargo from Russia

Busan New Container Terminal(BNCT) said on Wednesday that it succeeded in hosting a China-Russia logistics route newly launched by Russia’s largest state-run shipowner FESCO.

According to the container terminal operator at the new Busan port, FESCO’s China Russia North Service(CRN) has now expanded to become a three-way logistics route linking Russia with South Korea and China.

The route’s ports of calls include Busan, as well as Vostochny and Vladivostok in Russia and Xinjiang, Qingdao, Shanghai and Ningbo in China.

Under the contract, three FESCO ships carrying up to one-thousand-700 containers will take turns visiting the BNCT twice a week to load or unload cargo.

It is known that FESCO will load or unload around 450 containers every week on average at the BNCT.

Until now, FESCO had operated two ships commuting between Russia and Busan.
