Hyundai Motor’s all-new 2016 Tucson was the best seller in Germany among 20 cars newly rolled out in the first half of the year.

According to the German Association of the Automotive Industry(VDA) on Friday, 13-thousand-454 units of the new Tucson SUV were sold in Germany during the cited period, beating 20 other models that were released in the January-June period. 

In January, when the SUV was introduced to the German market, one-thousand-515 units were sold.

In the next five months, over two-thousand Tucsons were sold in Germany every month, peaking in June at two-thousand-719.

Tucson’s average monthly sales in Germany in the first half tallied two-thousand-242. The Ford Mustang came in second, which tallied average monthly sales of 556.
