North Korea has again attempted to fuel confrontation between South Korea and the United States and China and Russia over the deployment of the U.S. Terminal High Altitude Area Defense(THAAD) battery.
 
The North’s Rodong Sinmun said Wednesday that South Korea is embroiled in a conflict among powerful countries and has become the target of Russia and China due to its decision to host the U.S. antimissile system.
 
The Workers' Party newspaper claimed that despite the U.S.’ denial, all experts unanimously agree that the THAAD is aimed at China and Russia, not North Korea.
 
The report is seen as Pyongyang’s attempt to further drive a wedge between Seoul and Washington, and Beijing and Moscow, which are strongly opposed to the THAAD deployment on the Korean Peninsula.
