LG Electronics to Screen Video of Korean World Heritage in Times Square

LG Electronics will screen a video of South Korea's world heritage on a giant electronic billboard in New York's Times Square throughout the month of August.

LG said Wednesday that the promotion is part of an agreement with the Cultural Heritage Administration signed in June to publicize South Korea's world heritage, adding that the video will be screened 40 times a day.

The one-minute video shows images of eleven cultural heritages and one natural heritage, including the Bulguksa temple, the Tripitaka Koreana woodblocks, Changdeokgung Palace, the royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty and the Jeju volcanic island and lava tubes.

Times Square is a major commercial intersection in midtown Manhattan at the crossing of Broadway and Seventh Avenue at 42nd Street. Some one-point-five million people pass through the area daily.
