Power Demand Sets Summer Record Again

Electricity demand has reached an all-time summer high amid the unrelenting heat wave.

Power demand recorded 81-point-one-one million kilowatts at 3 p.m. Tuesday, breaking the previous record of 80-point-22 million kilowatts set the previous day.

It’s already the third time this summer the record has been broken.

Power demand reached 78-point-two million kilowatts to set a record on July eleventh and surpassed the 80 million-kilowatt mark for the first time on Monday.

The country’s power reserve rate also fell to nine-point-six percent on Tuesday, marking the second time this year that the rate fell below ten percent since July eleventh.

The highest electricity demand for any season was 82-point-97 million kilowatts recorded on January 21st this year.
