The main index advanced eight-point-49 points, or zero-point-42 percent, to close the week at two-thousand-17-point-26.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ, on the other hand, shed three-point-06 points, or zero-point-44 percent, to 700-point-28.
On the foreign exchange market, the local currency appreciated three-point-five won against the greenback to one-thousand-133-point-nine won.
