KOSPI, KOSDAQ Spike Following Record-High Close on Wall Street

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) climbed on Wednesday after the U.S.' Dow Jones index closed at a new all-time high and as the confirmation of Britain's new prime minister eased uncertainties.

The main index surged 14-point-32 points, or zero-point-72 percent, to close at two-thousand-five-point-55.

The secondary KOSDAQ jumped three-point-25 points, or zero-point-46 percent, to 702-point-65.

On the foreign exchange market, the local currency appreciated one-point-six won against the U.S. dollar to one-thousand-146-point-four won.
