The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) lost ground on Friday due to sell-offs by foreign and institutional investors.
After opening in positive territory, the main index by the close fell ten-point-98 points, or zero-point-56 percent, to close the week at one-thousand-963-point-one.
The secondary KOSDAQ also retreated three-point-35 points, or zero-point-48 percent, to 692-point-six.
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency weakened seven-point-two won against the greenback to one-thousand-161-point-eight won.
