Argentina to Introduce S. Korean E-gov't Model

The Ministry of the Interior says Argentina will implement South Korea’s e-government as one of its reform policies.

Interior Minister Hong Yun-sik and Argentina's Modernization Minister Andres Ibarra signed a memorandum of understanding in Seoul on Thursday on the transfer of South Korea's knowledge on e-government.

The ministry said that if Buenos Aires builds an improved e-government with Seoul's help, it will provide significant opportunities for South Korean firms to advance into Argentina.

Argentina’s new government, which launched last December, is seeking to introduce an e-government in a bid to realize reform in public administration and pursue a citizen-oriented administration in line with modernization plans. The South American nation created a Ministry of Modernization for such purpose.
