Heavy rainfall is expected to hit the nation from Friday night through Saturday afternoon.
The Korea Meteorological Administration(KMA) said on Wednesday that a seasonal weather system from the central region in China will approach the nation on Friday, bringing rain to South Korea's western regions from Friday afternoon.
Showers are expected to expand to the entire nation in the evening and continue into Saturday.
The central region is forecast to receive up to 150 millimeters of rain, while the southern areas are expected to get between 20 and 60 millimeters of precipitation between midnight Friday and noon on Saturday.
The agency said that as the weather system is expected to move south from Saturday afternoon, downpours will likely hit the southern provinces. The KMA forecast the monsoonal front will move northward from Sunday afternoon, bringing rain to the central region again until Monday.
