The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose for the third straight session on Wednesday, tracking overnight gains on Wall Street as uncertainty following Britain's EU referendum eased.

The main index shot up 20-point-14 points, or one-point-04 percent, to close at one-thousand-956-point-36. 

The secondary KOSDAQ rallied ten-point-58 points, or one-point-six percent, to 669-point-88.

On the foreign exchange market, the local currency appreciated eleven-point-one won against the greenback to one-thousand-160-point-two won.
