Five imported car models totaling some four-thousand automobiles will be recalled.
 
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said Friday that it has determined the launch date for the recall, which was announced in March.
 
Some two-thousand-400 Volkswagen Passat models manufactured between 2005 and 2008 will be recalled for possible problems related to engine oil pump failure. Beginning next Thursday, Audi Volkswagen Korea service centers around the nation will provide free repairs.
 
About one-thousand-900 Maserati Quattroporte and Ghibli sedans produced between 2013 and 2015 will also be recalled due to potential problems with the rear toe-in adjustment rods. Parts will be replaced free of charge at service centers beginning Friday.
 
In addition, the ministry also ordered recalls for about 20 Mercedes-Benz SLK models and some imported motorcycles.
