South Korea has called on North Korea to immediately stop vulgar remarks and distorted claims.
The call by Seoul's Unification Ministry follows a statement by the North's Council for National Reconciliation on Friday saying that Pyongyang has plenty of dialogue partners other than President Park Geun-hye.
The ministry blasted the North for slandering the South Korean leader using vulgar, unspeakable words.
It said that a nuclear power North Korea is unacceptable, and Seoul stands united with the international community that denuclearization is the top priority for any dialogue with North Korea.
According to the North's official Korean Central News Agency, a spokesperson for the North's Council for National Reconciliation said Friday that Pyongyang has no intention to extend its offer for inter-Korea dialogue if President Park keeps refusing.
Earlier Thursday, a North Korean Foreign Ministry spokesperson also justified the regime's nuclear development saying that the best way to prevent war and safeguard peace on the Korean Peninsula is to bolster the nation's nuclear deterrence for self-defense through all possible means.
