S. Korean, Chinese Biz Leaders Discuss Cooperation on Fine Dust

The business communities of South Korea and China will join hands to tackle the plague of fine dust, which has emerged as a serious environmental concern.
 
The Federation of Korean Industries held the eleventh bilateral meeting with its Chinese counterpart in Harbin, China on Saturday.
 
It said the two sides discussed economic cooperation under the Korea-China free trade agreement (FTA) as well as joint measures to environmental issues.
 
Participants agreed on the need to uncover what produces fine dust and to conduct joint research and develop technologies to reduce dust levels.
 
The two sides agreed to continue talks on how to cooperate.
 
The Saturday meeting was attended by 21 officials from South Korea and 23 from China including Federation of Korean Industries Chairman Huh Chang-soo and governor of China's Heilongjiang Province Lu Hao.
