Gov’t Vows to Foster, Support New Business Startups

Finance Minister Yoo Il-ho has announced plans to provide comprehensive support to new business startups to help them prosper and make them more competitive in the market.

At the seventh civilian-government consultative meeting on Wednesday, the minister stressed that the true goal of the creative economy drive is to eventually realize an advanced economy in which entrepreneurship, autonomy and creativity are fostered to give anyone with an original idea to start their own business.

Yoo expressed his expectations that companies incubated and nurtured at creative economy innovations centers will become precious assets that will help make the nation’s economic ecosystem richer and stronger.

Launched in March 2014, the civilian-government consultative meeting on the creative economy discusses corporate affairs and the Park Geun-hye administration-led creative economy drive with government officials, presidential secretaries and senior representatives from civilian organizations participating.
