President Park Geun-hye has urged her officials to make sure that the government's reforms for the public sector are successfully carried out. 

Park on Tuesday presided over a meeting with the nation's 126 public corporations and her officials to discuss ways to overhaul the sector.

She said that the current public sector reform campaign will provide an example to induce changes in the private sphere.
 
Park ordered her officials to remove or downsize any unnecessary functions of public corporations. She also called for ways to minimize any side effects that could arise during the process of downsizing.
