N. Korea Continues Dialogue Overture toward S. Korea

North Korea continues its call for military talks with South Korea, claiming that dialogue is crucial means to end military hostilities between the two sides.

The North’s Korean Central Television(KCTV) said on Tuesday that nothing else is important than the two Koreas taking substantial measures to reduce military tensions.

KCTV specifically cited risks of collision at the military demarcation line and in the maritime border areas on the Yellow Sea.

The North Korean media went on to say if an inter-Korean meeting is held, it will also ease tensions across the borders and enable the two Koreas to discuss comprehensively about matters of mutual interest.
