Samsung Electronics has hinted that it may file a suit against Huawei Technologies to counter the Chinese firm’s lawsuits against it.

Samsung’s intellectual property chief Ahn Seong-ho told reporters in Seoul on Wednesday that the South Korean tech giant may counter-sue as it has no choice given Huawei's actions.

The Chinese firm brought two suits against Samsung in the U.S. state of California and the Chinese city of Shenzen, seeking compensation for the alleged infringement of its patents regarding the industry standard of 4G technology.
