Gyeonggi Province to Attract 50,000 Elderly Chinese Tourists

Gyeonggi Province has reached a tourism agreement with China’s largest senior community center.

The Gyeonggi Provincial Government and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization signed the agreement with the chairman of the Shanghai-based senior center Monday morning, under which 50-thousand members of the senior center will spend two of their four days in South Korea in Gyeonggi Province.

The members of the Chinese senior center will take turns visiting South Korea in groups ranging from 200 to 400 people starting next month until December.

A large-scale Korean-Chinese cultural event will also be held in Gyeonggi Province with ten-thousand members from the senior center participating.

The two sides will later discuss the details of the event including the venue and the date.
