Korea-Japan Business Conference Held in Tokyo

Business leaders of South Korea and Japan held a meeting in Tokyo on Tuesday to expand economic cooperation and improve relations between the two nations.
 
During the Korea-Japan Business Conference, Trade, Industry and Energy Minister Joo Hyung-hwan proposed that the two nations expand mutual investment and joint investment in a third country, as well as economic cooperation in diverse areas including energy and e-commerce.
 
Chairman Kim Yoon of the Korea-Japan Economic Association urged the two nations to make 2016 the first year for friendship and economic cooperation. He asked business leaders from the two nations to join forces to seek mutual interest and establish future-oriented Korea-Japan relations.
 
Participants of the conference included Chairman Park Yong-man of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry(KCCI) and Samsung Electronics President Park Sang-jin.
 
Meanwhile, the Korean participants expressed condolences for the victims of the recent earthquake in Kumamoto Prefecture and donated 75 million won to Japan.
