The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Thursday fell two-point-61 points, or zero-point-13 percent, closing at one-thousand-977-point-49.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ managed to inch up one-point-one points, or zero-point-16 percent, to 705-point-04, surpassing the 700-point level for the third straight session.

On the foreign exchange market, the local currency appreciated five won against the greenback to one-thousand-162-point-six won.
