'N. Korea Appoints Foreigner to Lead National Football Team'

North Korea has reportedly appointed former Bundesliga top scorer Jorn Andersen to lead its national football team.

Norway's state broadcaster NRK reported on Wednesday that Andersen signed a one-year contract with North Korea, quoting his family members.

Born in 1963 in southern Norway, Andersen played in Norway, Germany and Switzerland. His 18 goals for Eintracht Frankfurt made him the first foreigner to top the Bundesliga's scoring charts in the 1989 to 1990 season.

If he signed the contract as reported, he would be the second foreigner to lead the North Korean men’s national football team after Hungarian boss Pal Csernai in 1991.
