N. Korea Test-Fires 2 Musudan Missiles in Failure

North Korea test-fired two mid-range ballistic missiles, both of which ended in failure.

The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff(JCS) said that the North launched two projectiles that appear to be the road-mobile Musudan missiles on Thursday.

The JCS said that the first was fired at 6:40 a.m. from Wonsan, Gangwon Province, but crash landed a few seconds after launch. The second attempt took place at 7:26 p.m., but appeared to blow up mid-air after traveling several kilometers.

The recent provocation came after Pyongyang tried and failed a Musudan missile launch on April 15th from a transporter erector launcher.
