The tech-heavy KOSDAQ, however, climbed zero-point-65 points, or zero-point-09 percent, to 703-point-seven.
 
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency weakened four-point-seven won against the U.S. dollar to one-thousand-147-point-eight won.
