The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) added two-point-26 points, or zero-point-11 percent, to close at two-thousand-eleven-point-36 on Tuesday.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ rose six-point-34 points, or zero-point-91 percent, to finish at 701-point-68, surpassing the 700-point level for the first time in eight months.

On the foreign exchange market, the local currency appreciated 13-point-nine won against the greenback to one-thousand-136-point-three won.
