KOSPI Loses Ground on Monday

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) fell five-point-61 points, or zero-point-28 percent, to two-thousand-nine-point-one on Monday.

The main index fell below the two-thousand point threshold at one point during trading, after a meeting in Qatar by oil producing nations to agree on production cuts failed over the weekend.

The secondary KOSDAQ retreated zero-point-28 points, or zero-point-04 percent, to 695-point-34.

On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency weakened four won against the U.S. dollar to one-thousand-150-point-two won.
