The accumulated sales of Hyundai Motor and its affiliate Kia Motors have surpassed 100 million.
 
The Hyundai Motor Group said Saturday that the accumulated sales of the two automakers topped 100 million as of Friday. 
 
The feat was achieved 54 years after the group started to sell complete vehicles in 1962. Other renowned auto companies that had reached the mark have longer histories of over 100 years.
 
Hyundai Motor's compact car Avante, globally known as Elantra, was the group's most sold model with 11-point-19 million units sold since 1990, followed by Accent and Sonata. Kia Motors' popular products include subcompact model Pride and compact SUV Sportage.
