The government will introduce a “premium” express bus service this year, which will be equipped with seats comparable to first-class seats on flights.
 
Vice Minister for Transport Choi Jeong-ho told reporters on Tuesday that the bus will likely be available in time for the Chuseok holiday season this year. 
 
The premium express bus will provide monitors on every seat, and will have only 21 seats compared to 29 seats on existing express buses. The fare is expected to be 30 percent more expensive.
 
The premium express bus will reportedly run routes from Seoul-Busan and Seoul-Gwangju.
