The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) dipped one-point-68 points, or zero-point-09 percent, to one-thousand-970-point-37 on Monday.

The secondary KOSDAQ, which opened above the 700 threshold for the first time this year, declined four-point-09 points, or zero-point-59 percent, to 693-point-01. 

On the foreign exchange market, the local currency appreciated seven-point-three won against the U.S. dollar to one-thousand-146-point-five won.
