A South Korean probiotics expert has been listed in the international biography directory, Marquis Who’s Who in the World.
 
Food and dairy company Korea Yakult said Tuesday that its senior researcher Dr. Ahn Young-tae was added to the international directory for his research achievements.
 
After graduating from Seoul National University with a degree in animal science and biotechnology, Ahn joined Korea Yakult in 2002 as a researcher and has been focusing on studying probiotic lactic acid bacteria and developing fermented milk products.
 
During his 14 years at the company, Ahn released 44 academic papers that were included in the Science Citation Index and obtained 37 patents. The researcher said that he will continue his research and contribute to the development of the probiotic lactic acid bacteria field.
