The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Monday gained five-point-four points, or zero-point-27 percent, to one-thousand-978-point-97.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also jumped six-point-29 points, or zero-point-91 percent, to 696-point-98.

On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency strengthened eight-point-one won against the U.S. dollar to one-thousand-146-point-one won.
