North Korea continues to jam Global Positioning System(GPS) signals in South Korea for the third day despite Seoul's stern warning.
Seoul's Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning said Saturday morning that GPS interference continues from the North. But no damage to lives, aircraft or vessel operation has been reported.
A ministry official said that GPS jamming is occurring intermittently but it is continuing. The official said the level of disruption signals remain largely unchanged, fluctuating within the existing range.
On Friday, the presidential office and the Defense Ministry denounced the North's latest provocation as a violation of the armistice agreement and international conventions as well as a threat to the safety of the South Korean people.
The United Nations Command Military Armistice Commission also conveyed a message to North Korea, urging it to stop jamming the GPS signal.
