South Korean mobile service carrier SK Telecom and Samsung Electronics will construct an Internet of Things(IoT) town in the southeastern city of Daegu.
 
Daegu Mayor Kwon Young-jin and executives of the two companies on Monday announced their action plan to foster IoT startups in the city.
 
The plans calls for establishing IoT infrastructure across the city and designating a regulation-free zone for IoT businesses.
 
SK Telecom will provide telecommunication infrastructure and IoT solutions while Samsung will offer IoT devices and equipment. Daegu City will provide administrative and financial support for the project.
