Seoul Calls N. Korean Rhetoric Vulgar

The government has urged North Korea to stop its rhetoric against the South Korean president.

Seoul's Unification Ministry Spokesman Jeong Joon-hee on Wednesday addressed the latest statements from the North's Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland, which threatened hours earlier to launch an attack to eliminate President Park Geun-hye.

While calling the threats despicable and vulgar, the spokesman warned Pyongyang to stop issuing rhetoric slandering the South Korean president and the top office.

The North’s Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) on Wednesday cited the committee as saying military operations have been put in place to eliminate Park.

The North said that its actions against Park could start from within or around the South Korean presidential office of Cheong Wa Dae, adding Pyongyang's high-caliber rockets are ready to destroy it.
