KCNA: N. Korean Leader Observed Missile Firings

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un appears to have been at the site of short-range missile launches in the North on Monday.

Pyongyang’s state-run Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) reported on Tuesday that Kim supervised a recent test-firing of missiles.

The KCNA relayed that Kim voiced satisfaction over the precision of its new high-caliber projectiles.

The media outlet added that Kim sang the praises of North Korea’s scientists, military factory workers and engineers for creating a weapons system that enhanced the abilities to hit targets in South Korea.

The report did not reveal the date of the training but appears to be referring to the North’s short-range missile launches between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday.
