KOSPI, KOSDAQ Reach Highest Levels This Year

South Korean shares on both the main bourse and the secondary market ended the week at their highest levels this year.
 
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Friday jumped four-point-13 points, or zero-point-21 percent, to close at one-thousand-992-point-12.
 
It's the first time the KOSPI finished above the one-thousand-990 mark since last Christmas Eve.
 
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose three-point-53 points, or zero-point-51 percent, to close the day at 695-point-02.
 
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the South Korean won gained ten-point-eight won against the U.S. dollar to end trading at one-thousand-162-point-five won.
