Some 110,000 More People Set up ISAs Tuesday

Some 110-thousand more people set up tax-free Individual Savings Accounts(ISA) on Tuesday.
 
Tuesday marked the second day the ISA was made available to users wishing to combine their checking, savings, stocks, bonds, equity-linked securities and exchange-traded funds into one account.
 
The Korea Financial Investment Association said that 111-thousand-428 additional people put up a total of 53-and-a-half billion won into ISAs on Tuesday.
 
As a result, the total amount of people who created such accounts stood at 434-thousand-418 as of Tuesday. The total amount of money put into the accounts was estimated at some 163 billion won.

Ninety-six percent of those who signed up, or some 416-thousand, created the accounts in banks while four percent set up the accounts at securities firms and insurance companies.
