The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) added 16-point-38 points, or zero-point-84 percent, to close at one-thousand-969-point-33 on Thursday.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also advanced seven-point-96 points, or one-point-17 percent, to 687-point-six. 

On the foreign exchange market, the local currency appreciated 12-point-seven won against the greenback to one-thousand-203-point-five won.
