The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) on Monday fell three-point-five points, or zero-point-18 percent, to close at one-thousand-916-point-66.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ, on the other hand, advanced two-point-32 points, or zero-point-36 percent, to 651-point-62.

On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency appreciated one-point-five won against the U.S. dollar to close at one-thousand-236-point-seven won. It surpassed the one-thousand-240 threshold during the day.
