KOSPI Inches Up; Won Stays Flat

The South Korean stock market closed little changed on Monday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) inched up zero-point-12 points, or zero-point-01 percent, to finish at one-thousand-916-point-36. 

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ added five-point-58 points, or zero-point-87 percent, to close at 650-point-14. 

On the foreign exchange market, the local currency remained flat against the greenback at one-thousand-234-point-four won. The Korean won depreciated seven won on Friday to mark the weakest level in five years and eight months.
