Anchor: The latest in smartphones and related gear are debuting at the annual Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics unveiled their latest smartphones in Spain just a day ahead of the 2016 event. Both of the firms’ new phones boasted upgraded cameras. KBS was there to check out the latest technologies.

Report: Samsung Electronics held its Galaxy S7 Unpacked Conference at the Barcelona International Convention Center in Spain on Sunday.

“It is my pleasure to introduce Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. These are the devices that come from re-imagining what a phone can do and what a smartphone can be.”
At the presentation just a day before the start of Mobile World Congress(MWC) 2016, the electronics giant explained that the new smartphone's camera functions have been sharply improved, allowing users to now take clear and bright pictures in the dark.

“Ladies and gentleman please put on your Gear VR.”
Also at the unpacked event, the tech giant revealed its Gear 360, a device with which users can create a 360-degree image or film.
Ahead of Samsung’s event, LG Electronics hosted a “LG G5 Day” in Barcelona and unveiled its latest flagship smartphone.
LG Electronics was confident as it unveiled the newest smartphone on the same day as its arch-rival Samsung revealed its newest phone.

“With this sleek, streamlined full metal body, the G5 catches your eyes at first sight. However, the LG G5 is more than that. The product team calls it an adventurous theme park in your pocket.”
LG also displayed eight products at the event, including a high-performance audio module and camera as well as virtual reality headsets. The battery life of all the new products revealed, meanwhile, was expanded by some 30 percent.
All of the latest gadgets and gear will be on display at MWC 2016 in Barcelona.
Some 25-hundred information technology firms from around the world will take part in the four-day event.
