KOSPI, KOSDAQ Head North Thursday

South Korea's main bourse recovered to the one-thousand-900 level on Thursday as investors bought on expectations of a delay in the U.S. Fed's interest rate hike and the rise in global oil prices.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose 24-point-nine points, or one-point-32 percent, to close at one-thousand-908-point-84.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ advanced 14-point-94 points, or two-point-four percent, to 638-point-43.

On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency weakened zero-point-three won against the U.S. dollar to finish at one-thousand-227-point-four won.
