KOSPI, KOSDAQ Close Lower

The South Korean stock market fell on Wednesday despite broad gains on Wall Street Tuesday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) retreated four-point-36 points, or zero-point-23 percent, to finish at one-thousand-883-point-94.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ lost eleven-point-46 points, or one-point-eight percent, to 623-point-49.

On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency weakened ten-point-five won against the greenback to close at one-thousand-227-point-one won.
