The South Korean stock market on Tuesday rose as European markets also recorded gains following an increase in global oil prices.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) added 26-point-10 points, or one-point-four percent, to finish at one-thousand-888-point-30.
The tech-heavy KOSDAQ gained 13-point-58 points, or two-point-19 percent, to 634-point-95.
On the foreign exchange market, the value of the local currency weakened eight-point-five won against the U.S. dollar to close at one-thousand-216-point-six won.
