South Korea's state-run tobacco producer KT&G will raise the prices of duty-free tobacco starting from Tuesday.

KT&G said on Monday that it will raise the prices of duty-free cigarettes by four U.S. dollars on average increasing from 18 dollars to 22 dollars.

The state firm said it the move was a response to increased prices of raw materials and people stocking up duty-free tobacco due to the price difference between duty-free and non-duty-free cigarettes.
