64 S. Korea-Made Goods Had Largest Market Shares

A recent study has found that 64 South Korea-made products were top-sellers in the global market in 2014.

The Korea International Trade Association’s Institute for International Trade(IIT) said in a report that of the 64 items, 22 were from the chemical sector, eleven from steel and seven were nonelectronic machinery goods.

The sales volume of the 64 products accounted for 111-point-eight billion U.S. dollars, or 19-point-five percent of South Korea’s total exports.

Forty-seven South Korean goods topped their respective markets for the second consecutive year. Twenty goods including memory chips, auto parts and tankers upstaged their markets for the fifth straight year.

China produced the most number of exported goods that topped their respective markets in the world with one-thousand-610 items.
